“I was somebody.
Who, is no business

Found on a gravestone in Stowe, Vermont
All of us want to be ‘somebody.’ And, to most of us it does matter that we are ‘somebody’ to certain people. Whether it is our immediate family, our social circle, our religious group, people at our workplace, or the world at [...]

I will admit that I’m not a fan of President Obama. If that turns you off, so be it — I will always speak my mind, and you have every right to read what you want.
I dislike that he is a micromanger as characterized by the Wall Street Journal.

I picked up today on the results of an [tag]employee engagement[/tag] survey by the [...]

What causes change?
Every time you try to influence an employee to do something differently you are trying to get them to [tag]change[/tag] behavior or, in reality to change their current habits. But what exactly will cause them to change?
As I think back on each role and situation I have been involved in as an HR [...]

In the News
Listening to Bill O’Reilly’s back-up commentators today I was shocked! Although after the last number of years I don’t know why I should be.
The big news this week is the allegation that Illinois Governor [tag]Rod Blagojevich[/tag] tried to sell President-elect Barack Obama’s Senate seat to the highest bidder.
Also in the news today, former [...]
