Where are all the real superheroes?
Another question: How many superheroes have the same powers as another one? “Uhmm, none!”
Maybe that’s part of why they’re called “super-heroes.”
So how many superheroes do you know?
I love reading the Readers’ Digest because they have stories of heroes in every issue. It’s always uplifting to read stories of real people doing the right thing to help someone else. And the interesting thing – they are all common people (and generally don’t consider themselves as heroes), like you and me.
How many superheroes do you know at work?In my last post I talked about how people are unique and have a unique contribution to offer to their workplace. How many of the people in your workplace are actually ‘super-heroes’? I’m not talking about how many people have saved someone else’s life. I’m talking about how many people have unique “powers” that allow them to make unique contributions to your workplace.
OK, stop thinking about super-human strength, and the ability to fly. Think about what makes each individual unique – what talents, passions, and gifts people have.
Does your workplace allow those talents, passions, gifts, whatever, to come out and be of value in your workplace?
How about you? Are you a super-hero leader? Do you have super-contribution? And, more importantly, are you leading super-heroes? I hope so.
Oh, me; I always identified with “Stretch” / Reid Richards.
