Your Business is a Game, but with Serious Consequences
I’ll admit it… I like to play video games. Granted I’m not up-to-speed on the latest games like the current generation. But I played video and computer games the current gamers never heard of (yeah, the games are that old).
It’s pretty amazing what games are doing these days (I should write something about the latest advances in training with video games…).
I will say though, I’ve generally stayed away from the ‘blood and mayhem’ genre of games. But I did see this when I was looking for something the other day…
“Shards of Death is Hiring”
From what I can tell, there really isn’t a game “Shards of Death”, this is just an animated video; but I really liked the message of the short.
While anyone might apply for a position, they just might not be a good job match. They may fit the description (monster in this case), but not the characteristics (mean monster). They may have the desires to be in the role and do the job, but not have the aptitudes and abilities required.
That’s what this recruiter found out.

Who are you Hiring?
You want to find the right person, not because they look the part, or even talk the part, but because they can perform the tasks required to the level you need them.
Find top performers by knowing what you need from proven sources and get below the surface of your candidates to see if they really have what it takes.
